Moxibustion and Gua Sha

Moxibustion is often used in combination with Acupuncture.

It refers to the burning of the Chinese Herb ‘Ai Ye’ or Moxa.

The Moxa can placed on the end of the needle, or alternatively it can be used in stick form and held by the practitioner close to skin, thus creating transferral of Heat.

Gua Sha is traditionally performed with a ceramic spoon.

It is suitable to areas similar to Cupping, the back, neck and shoulders.
Oil is applied and the Gua Sha tool, is glided over the affected areas.

Lisa currently uses Jade Gua Sha Tools for the neck shoulders and back.
Jade Facial Rollers are used for the Face.
